so according to the finest blogging resources i could find, this is where i show my extensive list of credentials and why i am the experts on topics i discuss. well, to be honest, i’m not going to convince you to read my posts based on my credentials. instead, i hope the posts will speak for themselves and encourage you in your walk with God and challenge you to grow.

my name is ben. my family and i are currently located in beautiful central oregon, where we have lived for the past 8 years. i’m on staff at our local church and stay busy working with the youth ministry and staying up on building maintenance. i also spend time blogging, keeping people posted on what i see happening around me and in other areas. i typically keep my fingers in a couple books at a time (and always the Bible), so you’re sure to see a few book reviews as this blog continues. i drive early bronco’s (66-77). you know, the one’s that everyone says look like jeeps. but don’t call them that, or i’ll be forced to lovingly correct you on your car manufacture faux-pas. and oh yeah, i switched to mac a little over a year ago.
my wife has the daunting task of staying home with our 3 kids and keeping the home from looking like a bomb went off (not easy with 3 little ones.) she is a pk (pastor’s kid) and has been walking with the Lord for 17 years. she has a wonderful gift of singing (think janis joplin meets crystal lewis) and is great with helping mentor the young women in our youth group and college ages. unfortunately she had to give up her early bronco earlier this year as our family grew, and now drives an fj60 land-cruiser (aka ‘the land turtle’). she is the greatest wife and friend a guy could ask for, and i’m blessed beyond what i deserve. as you can see, i married up.
