when it rains, it pours, or something like that…
i always have great excuses for not blogging as much as i think i should, but i think for once i have a legitimate excuse. things have been pretty busy for my wife and myself around the house since i’ve been back from africa, namely because our house sold. yes, while i was in africa we had an offer come in on our house, and by the time i got home we only had a little over two weeks to get moved out.
the Lord opened up a great little place for us to rent for the time being, closer to church and friends. it will be a little strange renting again (we haven’t done that for 8 years), but we see the Lord working in this and know that He has good plans for us. it will also be a little hard to leave our home. i built this home for us (with the help of some great friends) and we’ve also built a lot of memories in the house, but i’m always reminded that family is the most important thing.
so this weekend will be filled with boxes, moving, unpacking, and the like. i thank the Lord for the friends He has brought our way and who have offered to help with the move, and i’m thankful that i’m here to help move. my wife reminded me of my absence in past moves. once i was in a cast with 5 tendons cut in my wrist and another time i was gone somewhere (don’t remember where) for the ministry. so this time i’m here, i’m healthy, and i’m ready to go.
so my next blog post should be from a new location, though that doesn’t matter much to you, the reader. but maybe it will give me some new perspectives. maybe?
and more will be coming about africa as well. i’ve been working on uploading more video that i have, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the comments Martha. (For those reading this, Martha and I were in Burkina Faso working on the same trip).
